About Jeff Ross
Jeff Ross has spent 20+ years running multi-site operations in hospitality, retail and service businesses across the Gulf, Southeast Asia and Europe. He has been a hotel general manager, the hotel manager of a pre-opening, an Apple store leader and the general manager of a division of a Swiss home-services group. Since 2025 he has been based in Dubai, where he leads Nexuspoint.
The pattern
Look across those years and one thing repeats. Jeff has repeatedly been sent into units that needed turning around, or that had changed hands and had to be brought into a new owner's way of working. The owners, the countries and the sectors changed. The work stayed the same: steady the team, fix what runs the place day to day, and leave something that holds after the assignment ends.
Four integrations, four kinds of owner
Four times he has run the operating side of a business that had recently been bought.
A global hotel company absorbing a franchise brand, 1999 to 2001, travelling between properties as a quality assurance consultant.
A tour operator integrating a founder-built resort in Gran Canaria, 2002 to 2003. A fifteen-month mandate, completed in under twelve months.
A hotel group absorbing another brand at an owner's property in Abu Dhabi, 2006 to 2007.
An investor-backed group buying a founder-led family business in Switzerland, 2023 to 2024. Around 2,000 staff across twelve agencies, six of them franchised. The forecast was that three of the six franchise heads would leave. None did. Month-end close went from four and a half months to three weeks, and the manager Jeff developed as his successor became the group's chief operating officer.
Each time the owner wanted the same thing: a business that keeps running once the deal is done and the integration team has gone home.
Where he has worked
Jeff started in Luxembourg and worked in Switzerland, Belgium and Germany before his first Gulf posting in Dubai in 2003. From there: Seville and Marbella, Abu Dhabi, then Bali, where he was part of the team that opened The St. Regis Bali Resort, the first St. Regis resort in Southeast Asia. He went on to Swissôtel The Stamford in Singapore, a 1,261-room hotel, as hotel manager, and to Swissôtel Resort Phuket Kamala Beach as general manager. From 2016 to 2021 he led Apple stores in Geneva and Zurich, and from 2022 he worked in Switzerland on operations and integration assignments before moving back to Dubai in 2025.
He works in five languages: English, German, French, Luxembourgish and Spanish.
He is a certified systemic coach and team coach (Coach Akademie Schweiz, St. Galler Coaching Model) and holds IPMA Level D in project management.
The practice
Nexuspoint Project Management L.L.C is based in Dubai. Jeff co-founded it with his wife, Minna Ross, and the two of them develop the practice together. Nexuspoint is a member of the Finnish Business Council UAE, the Malaysian Business Council UAE and the British Chamber of Commerce Dubai.
Why
Jeff and Minna started Nexuspoint for one reason: an owner should be able to step away and know that the business holds.
